CLINTON, N.Y. – Hamilton College's
Lilly Truchon '26 scored the first two goals and the Continentals cruised to a 4-1 NESCAC win against the Connecticut College Camels at Hamilton's Goodfriend Field on Saturday, Sept. 30.
Season Update
- The 22nd-ranked Continentals (5-3, 2-3 NESCAC) won both of their games last week.
- Conn. College (2-5, 0-4) has scored just five goals all season.
How It Happened
- Truchon made it 1-0 with 5:25 left in the first quarter following a penalty corner. Alana King '24 received a pass on the left wing near the edge of the arc and lifted a shot towards the center of the cage. Truchon redirected the ball in midair from point-blank range past Liz Winemaster.
- Truchon struck again after a flurry of shots following a penalty corner. Winemaster stopped three shots in 11 seconds, but went down to the turf to keep a shot by Lydon Kelley '25 out of the cage, and Truchon knocked in the loose ball with 8:17 remaining in the second quarter.
- Hamilton made it 3-0 on a goal following a counterattack 4:06 into the third quarter. Hannah Dillon '24 received a pass with nobody around here in front of the cage. She took a shot that Winemaster missed as she charged out towards Dillon. Kelley ran onto the ball near the left post and pushed it into the open cage.
- The Continentals scored their fourth goal 5:31 into the fourth quarter. Dillon sent a pass from outside the shooting area to Becky Felker '26, who was about 10 yards from the cage. Felker moved the ball a few feet to her left and cracked a backhand shot that snuck inside the left post.
- McKalynn Jacobsen passed to Bridget McGann for the Camels' goal with 8:02 to go in the fourth.

- Truchon has scored four goals in the last three games.
- Kelley scored her first career goal at Hamilton.

- Dillon recorded the second multi-assist game of her career and has 13 helpers all-time for the Continentals.
