MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- Hamilton College swimmers finished first in seven events in the Continentals' narrow dual meet loss at Wesleyan University's Webster Family Natatorium on Wednesday.

Jack Jee '24 was at least a part of four of those Hamilton victories. Jee helped the Continentals start the meet on a high note as they won the 100-yard medley relay by one one-hundredth of a second with a time of 44.55 seconds. Jee was joined on the relay by
Ethan del Rosario '24, Emilio Vicioso '23 and
Sam Pettengill '25.

Jee took first place in three individual events including the 25 butterfly with a time of 10.50 seconds and the 50 fly in 23.23 seconds. He also won the 100 individual medley with a time of 53.28 seconds.

Vicioso captured first place in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 27.38 seconds and was runner-up in the 25 breast in 12.36 seconds, and del Rosario grabbed the top spot in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.28 seconds and was third in the 25 free in 10.34 seconds. Pettengill finished right behind del Rosario in the 50 free with a time of 22.41 seconds and was runner-up in the 25 free in 10.31 seconds.

Matthew Hake '26 finished in the top two in three events. Hake was the winner in the 25 breast with a time of 12.17 seconds and landed in second place in the 50 breast in 27.51 seconds. He was also runner-up in the 25 fly with a time of 10.85 seconds.

Luke Engel '25 ended up in second place in the 200 free (1:48.97) and the 500 free (4:55.45).
Ethan Olivo '26 finished third in the 200 free (1:50.05) and was fourth in the 25 free with a time of 10.37 seconds.

Hamilton swept the top three spots in the breaststroke events as
Edward Ha '25 finished third in the 25 breast with a time of 12.42 seconds and the 50 breast in 27.57 seconds.
Jun Cho '25 was fourth in the 50 backstroke with a time of 25.39 seconds.

The Continentals travel to nationally ranked No. 19 Rochester Institute of Technology for another dual meet that starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7.
