Taylor Lambo '26 netted 21 points and the Continentals held on for a 50-47 NESCAC win over the Amherst College Mammoths at Amherst's LeFrak Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
- Emma Sehring '23 hit a go-ahead layup with 14 ticks left and Maria Mercado Rengel '24 nailed a pair at the line for a 50-47 cushion with two seconds remaining. Lambo had been injured when she was fouled and Mercado Rengel was sent into the game to shoot her free throws.
- Amherst called a timeout with 1.8 seconds to go and Kori Barach attempted a 3-pointer from the top of the key but failed to connect.
- Lambo hit Hamilton's first basket of the fourth quarter for a 38-32 advantage.
- Anna Tranum nailed a jumper for the Mammoths and Lambo responded with another layup for a 40-34 lead.
- Reeya Patel cut Amherst's deficit in half on a 3-ball with 6:37 left.
- Althea Hill '26 answered with a 3-pointer and pushed the advantage back to six points.
- Amherst scored the next six points and evened the score at 43-43.
- Maya Cwalina went 2-for-2 at the line and gave the Mammoths a 45-44 advantage with 2:06 remaining.
- Another Lambo layup gave Hamilton a 46-45 lead, but Patel hit a fast-break layup for a 47-46 Amherst edge with only 27 seconds left.
- Hamilton and Amherst tallied seven points apiece in the first quarter and were tied 23-23 at the break.
- The Continentals opened the third quarter with a 10-0 run on baskets by Lambo, Sehring and Emily Hall '24. Lambo had six points during the spurt.
- Barach hit three straight jumpers and a shot at the line that slashed the Continentals' lead to 35-30 with 2:05 left.
- Lambo went 1-for-2 at the line and Barach made a layup for a 36-32 Hamilton lead heading into the final 10 minutes. Barach scored all of the Mammoths' nine points in the quarter.
- Amherst shot 35.2 percent (19-54) from the floor including 3 of 10 from 3-point range and 6-for-7 at the charity stripe.
- Hamilton shot 32.3 percent (20-62) from the floor and went 8-for-13 at the line. The Continentals scored 32 of their 50 points in the paint.
- Amherst held a 41-38 advantage on the glass.

- Hamilton (10-7, 3-2 NESCAC) earned its third straight win over Amherst.
- Amherst dropped to 13-5 overall and 2-3 in the conference. The Mammoths received votes in both the D3hoops.com and Women's Basketball Coaches Association Top 25 polls.
- Lambo tallied her fifth double-double of the season with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
- Sehring posted her eighth double-double of the season and fifth in the last seven games with 17 points and 11 boards.
- Hill contributed six points and Hall collected a team-best three steals. Hall is eighth in the conference with 1.7 steals per game.
- Mercado Rengel is 21-for-22 at the free-throw line.
- Barach led Amherst with 21 points and three blocks.
- Cwalina chipped in eight points, 10 rebounds and two blocks.
- Anna Tranum contributed six points off the bench.
- AnLing Vera handed out five assists.
