The Hamilton College Continentals won one out of three matches as they visited all three NESCAC schools located in the state of Maine from Jan. 13 to Jan. 15.
Hamilton (1-5 overall) edged Bowdoin College 5-4 on Sunday after the Continentals lost to Colby College and Bates College on Friday and Saturday, respectively. Hamilton plays at Hobart College on Saturday, Jan. 21 at noon.
William Rice '24 defeated Jackson Rho in five games at the fourth position in what turned out to be the difference in the Bowdoin victory. Rice also won against Bates in three games.
Jacob Shulman '26 was the other player who won two matches for the Continentals during the weekend road trip. Shulman won his matches against Colby and Bowdoin in three games at the ninth position.
Ashby Howard '25 (sixth position),
Tate Burgin '25 (seventh) and
Nicholas Carabatsos '24 (eighth) were Hamilton's other three winners against Bowdoin.
Tate Suratt '24 picked up his 19th career victory in four games against Bates at the first position.
