The Hamilton College Continentals posted their second consecutive tie with a 1-1 decision against the Wesleyan University Cardinals in NESCAC action at Hamilton's Love Field on Sunday. 
 
How It Happened

• Scoreless through the first half, Erin Rayhill '25 broke through for the Continentals in the 49^th minute. Hyla Mosher '23 received a throw-in and worked her way past two defenders. Ashlyn Gaulin '23 stepped up and tipped the ball to the left side where Taryn Gillis '26 crossed it to the far right side of the box. Rayhill found the ball and placed it in the lower-left corner. 
• The Cardinals netted the equalizer in the 62^nd minute on a rebound goal by Kate Hausladen. Wesleyan worked the ball around the box and Waverly Meyers pounded a hard shot that hit the crossbar and caromed out to Hausladen who snuck it past Hamilton's Nieve Tonna '26. 
• Wesleyan outshot Hamilton 25-10 with 14 in the second frame. 
• Both teams earned five corner kicks.

• Hamilton (3-1-3, 1-1-3 NESCAC) received votes in the D3soccer.com Top 25 poll. 
• Wesleyan moves to 2-3-2 (1-2-1) on the season. 
• The Continentals lead the all-time series 5-3-4 against the Cardinals. 
• Rayhill earned her first goal of the season and the third of her Hamilton career. 
• Tonna tallied 11 saves in goal, her second straight double-digit match. 
• Hausladen notched her first goal of the season. 
• Wesleyan's Sarah Hammond collected two saves.

• Hamilton will travel to New London, Conn., on Saturday, Oct. 1 for a NESCAC matchup at Connecticut College that starts at 11:30 a.m.
