Four Continentals score in 4-1 women’s soccer win over Oswego

Caroline Dawson ’23 records goal and an assist

The Hamilton College Continentals remained unbeaten as they recorded a 4-1 non-conference victory over the SUNY Oswego Lakers on Tuesday afternoon at Hamilton's Love Field.

How It Happened
  • Hamilton got on the scoreboard in the 14th minute with a goal by Olivia Morrow '24 who tapped it in with her right foot powered by a beautiful corner from Erin Rayhill '25.
  • The second half was all Hamilton as the Continentals made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute on a goal by Maddie Ledbury '26 assisted by Hyla Mosher '23. Morrow chipped the ball into the box, Mosher took control as the keeper was out of position and laid it perfectly in front of the goal to Ledbury who headed it in.
  • Hamilton struck again in the 69th minute after the Continentals gathered possession off a Lakers goal kick. Caroline Dawson '23 worked the ball and crossed it to the doorstep to Taryn Gillis '26 who reached the back-right corner.
  • Dawson stretched the lead to 4-0 less than three minutes later after Rylie Mutton '23 placed it in front of the net and Dawson found the back corner with her left foot.
  • Oswego tallied its only goal in the 82nd minute. Gabriella Martinez chased the ball down and skipped it over to Katie Delgrasso who fired it back to Martinez. She grazed the ball to Brianna Winkler and she snuck it past goalkeeper Clare Robinson '25.
  • In the first half Hamilton outshot Oswego 21-7, and the Continentals finished the contest with a 37-8 advantage.
  • The Continentals held a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.
