Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men’s soccer blanks Ithaca on the road and remains undefeated

Ehrenfreund ’25 tallied a pair of assists for the 3-0 Continentals

Hamilton College's Tommy Kantrowitz '25 and Luke Peplowski '25 netted one goal apiece and the Continentals posted their third straight win with a 2-0 non-conference decision over the Ithaca College Bombers on Wednesday at Ithaca's Higgins Stadium.

How It Happened
  • In a scoreless first half, Hamilton produced six shots while Ithaca tallied four.
  • The Continentals broke through in the 57th minute on a goal by Kantrowitz. After a corner kick, Luke Ehrenfreund '25 saw Kantrowitz and he fired a hard, high shot from the left side. The goalkeeper caught the ball but stepped across the goal line.
  • Less than eight minutes later, the Continentals added to their lead on a goal by Peplowski. Hamilton earned a corner and Ehrenfreund crossed it into the box where it was knocked out by the keeper. Peplowski got to the rebound and his shot deflected off a defender in white before it settled in the back of the net.
  • Hamilton outshot Ithaca 13-7 with six shots on net.
  • The Continentals carried a 3-1 advantage on corner kicks.
Notes
  • The Continentals (3-0-0) handed the Bombers their fourth consecutive loss in five matches.
  • This is Hamilton's first victory over Ithaca since 2017.
  • Ithaca continues to lead the all-time series 16-14-5.
  • Kantrowitz recorded three shots on goal while Peplowski notched two.
  • Kai Haesslein '24 made three saves in his first appearance this season and earned his first career shutout.
  • Ithaca's Ian Whitfield made a season-high four saves.
Next Match
