Hamilton College's
Aine Cleary '25 scored a free-position goal with 1:51 left in the fourth quarter and lifted the Continentals to a 13-12 NESCAC win against the Williams College Ephs at Hamilton's Steuben Field on Sunday afternoon.

The nationally ranked No. 13 Continentals (7-5, 5-5 NESCAC) have finished their conference schedule. Hamilton is in fifth place in the NESCAC standings as the other 10 teams all have one conference game remaining. The Continentals host Ithaca College for a non-conference contest on Wednesday, April 27 at 5 p.m.

Williams (5-9, 2-7) led 4-3 at the end of the first quarter, 7-5 at halftime and 10-9 after three quarters. The Ephs won the first nine draw controls.

There were eight ties and neither team led by more than three goals. Hamilton led for just 2:57 before Cleary's game-winner late in the fourth quarter.

Cleary finished with three goals and an assist for a season-high four points.
Clarissa Hurley '23 chipped in a goal and three helpers, and
Eva Abel '22 scored three goals.

Hamilton's
Meghan Lane '24 won seven draws, scooped up a career-high six ground balls and caused three turnovers.
Olivia Seymour '22 scored her 21
st goal, won three draws and picked up four ground balls.
Sarah Moore '23 led the Continentals with four of their 12 caused turnovers.
Kaitlin Reed '24 started In goal and made four saves in the first half, and
Casey Fiore '24 stopped two shots in the last 30 minutes.

Shea van Den Broek and Isabel Arvelo paced Williams with three goals apiece. Abby Godwin captured four draws, Kelsey Richter collected three ground balls and Caitlyn Joyce turned away 13 shots.

After Cleary's goal, Lane won the ensuing draw and Hamilton ran the 90-second possession clock nearly all the way down before the Continentals were awarded a free-position attempt. Abel's shot was saved by Joyce, but Seymour gathered the loose ball and managed to run out the final 10 seconds.

Grace Collier gave the Ephs an 11-9 lead 51 seconds into the fourth quarter, 32 seconds after a Hamilton player was sent off with a green card. Goals by Abel and Cleary 46 seconds apart midway through the quarter drew the Continentals even. Arvelo put Williams in front for the last time with 6:23 remaining, but
Lauren Hamilton '22 tied the score again on her eighth goal 50 seconds later.

Seymour tied the score at 4-4 early in the second quarter and
Chloe Chiota '24 gave Hamilton its first lead with 7:53 to go in the second. The Ephs responded by scoring the next four goals including Arvelo's tally with five seconds left in the half. A goal by van Den Broek 37 seconds into the third quarter handed Williams an 8-5 advantage.

Sarah Stonestreet '25, Abel and Hurley brought the Continentals back to 8-8 with 9:29 remaining in the third. The Ephs tallied three of the next four goals.

Hamilton held a 36-25 shot advantage and finished with 18 ground balls to Williams' eight. The Continentals committed a season-low nine turnovers.
