Ithaca College's Megan Motkowski recorded eight points and the Bombers posted a 17-13 non-conference win against the Hamilton College Continentals at Hamilton's Steuben Field on Wednesday.

The nationally ranked No. 14 Continentals (7-6 overall) held a 30-25 shot advantage and won 22 of the 34 draw controls. Hamilton travels to Wesleyan University for the second time in 11 days to play a NESCAC championship quarterfinal on Saturday, April 30 at noon.

No. 10 Ithaca (13-2) has won the last three meetings with the Continentals. The Bombers scored the first two goals and led the whole way. They held a 7-2 advantage at the end of the first quarter, 10-5 at the half, and 13-9 after three quarters.

Hamilton's
Olivia Seymour '22 tied a career high with five goals and added an assist. Seymour also won a career-best eight draws.
Eva Abel '22 scored three goals,
Lauren Hamilton '22 notched two and
Aine Cleary '25 added a goal and an assist.

Meghan Lane '24 had another big game for the Continentals with seven draws, six caused turnovers, three ground balls and her third assist.
Abby Smith '24 recovered a team-high four ground balls, and
Sarah Moore '23 contributed three draws and two caused turnovers.
Kaitlin Reed '24 started in goal and made three saves in the first half, while
Casey Fiore '24 played the entire second half and stopped two shots.

Cleary pulled Hamilton within 2-1 on her 15
th goal with 11:52 left in the first quarter, but Ithaca scored the next five goals for a 7-1 lead with 2:41 remaining in the first. Three of the first seven goals were on free-position shots as Ithaca scored six times out of the free position while Hamilton didn't attempt any.

The Continentals scored four straight including three by Seymour, and drew within two goals at 7-5 with 10:31 to go in the second quarter. The Bombers responded with a five-goal run capped by Motkowski's fourth of the day that made it 12-5 with 8:00 left in the third quarter. Hamilton didn't get closer than three goals the rest of the way. Abel cut the Continentals' deficit to three at 14-11 on her team-leading 30
th goal with 11:14 remaining in the fourth.
