The Hamilton College Continentals played a rescheduled NESCAC West Division doubleheader and wrapped up their season series against the Wesleyan University Cardinals on Sunday afternoon in Middletown, Conn.

Wesleyan (12-15, 4-5 NESCAC West) won the first game 4-1 and took the second game 4-2. The Cardinals swept the season series by virtue of their 4-0 victory back on April 10.

Hamilton (14-11, 2-7) aims to bounce back on Wednesday, April 27 with a non-conference doubleheader against Utica University at Hamilton's Loop Road Athletic Complex at 3:30 p.m.

Game 1

Ella Heftved '25 and
Samantha Smith '23 led the Continentals with two hits apiece.
Shelby McVey '22 and
Natalie Beebe '24 added singles.
Emma Tansky '25 (3-4) gave up two earned runs and fanned four Cardinals in a complete game effort.

Wesleyan jumped out on top with a two-run first inning on back-to-back singles by Courtney Collins-Pisano and Hannah Docktor that led off the inning. Collins-Pisano later stole home and Docktor scored on a sacrifice fly.

Hamilton split its deficit in half with a run in the top of the third. Tansky drew a one-out walk and stole her 14th base of the season. Heftved roped a single to right field, and Tanksy crossed home plate on an infield error. The Cardinals added two unearned runs in the fifth.

Game 2

Charlie Quinn '25 led Hamilton at the plate with a pair of hits, including a double, and drew a walk.
Kiana Arcayena '22, McVey and Beebe tallied one hit each.

Hamilton took the lead with two runs on two hits in the first. With two outs, Heftved coaxed a walk and Arcayena singled up the middle. McVey followed with a single to right that advanced Arcayena to third and scored Heftved. Arcayena later scampered home on a wild pitch. Wesleyan evened the score in the third with two runs on four hits.

The Continentals put two baserunners on in the fourth. Beebe knocked a one-out single up the middle and Quinn walked, but they were left stranded after a strikeout and a flyout to center.

The Cardinals took the lead in the fifth with another two-run inning. Collins-Pisano, who went 4-for-4, led off with a triple to left. Docktor was hit by a pitch and advanced to second base. Isabella Secaira-Cotto drove in both runners with a single.

Revi Brown (5-6) picked up the win in the circle and tallied three strikeouts in seven innings.
