Hamilton College's
Brady Slinger '22 had a big day at the plate and helped the Continentals salvage a split of their non-conference doubleheader against the St. Lawrence University Saints at Northeast Regional Park in Davenport, Fla., on Thursday afternoon.

Hamilton (4-3 overall) won 7-3 in the nightcap after the Saints rallied for a 4-2 victory in Game 1. The Continentals have another non-conference doubleheader with Franklin & Marshall College on Saturday, March 19 at Chain O'Lakes facility in Winter Haven. First pitch of the opener is scheduled for 9:15 a.m.

The Saints, who are members of the Liberty League, moved to 6-2 overall. They erased a 2-1 deficit in the first game with three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Slinger went 3-for-3 with a double and his first home run at Hamilton.
Jackson Sattinger '24 drove in a pair of runs and leads the team with 10.
Jamie Hauswirth '22 pitched 1.1 innings of relief and picked up his first collegiate win.
Jack Clougherty '23 got the last two outs and earned his second career save.
Aidan Regan '24 struck out two batters in a scoreless sixth inning.

The Continentals scored three runs in the bottom of the first.
Shane Dux '24 and Slinger singled and Dux later scored on Sattinger's sacrifice fly. Slinger came around on an infield error, and
Matt Kinne '25 drove in
Ethan Harrast '23 on a single to left.

Hamilton went up 5-1 in the second.
Jack Eshleman '25 led off with a walk and later scored on a sacrifice fly by
Phil Bernstein '23. Dux drew a two-out walk, Slinger doubled to left and Sattinger plated Dux with an infield single.

The Continentals made it 7-2 in the fourth.
Adam Wijaya '22 opened with a single to center field and Slinger smashed a two-out, two-run homer to right. St. Lawrence got one run back in the fifth but didn't have any hits in the sixth or seventh innings.

Slinger contributed two more hits, Bernstein went 2-for-2 with two walks and
Greg Kopp '25 doubled.
Michael Ghiorsi '23 fanned three in two perfect innings of relief. Sattinger started on the mound and struck out seven in three innings. He allowed one run on three hits and a walk.

Hamilton grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the second when Kopp led off with a double to right and later scored on Wijaya's groundout to the third baseman. After the Saints tied the score in the third, the Continentals took advantage of St. Lawrence wildness and grabbed a 2-1 lead in the fifth. Wijaya led off with a walk and later advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on another.

The Saints rallied in the sixth with three runs on three hits, a hit batsman and a balk. Hamilton put runners on first and second with two outs in the top of the seventh, but the next batter struck out looking to end the game.
