Hamilton College scored the first three goals and never looked back in the Continentals' 16-5 non-conference win against the SUNY Oneonta Red Dragons at Hamilton's Steuben Field on Wednesday afternoon.

The nationally ranked No. 16 Continentals remained undefeated at 3-0. Hamilton led 5-1 after the first quarter, 11-1 at the half and 14-1 at the end of three quarters. The teams played with a running clock for the entire second half. The Continentals host Connecticut College for a NESCAC contest on Saturday, March 19 at noon.

Oneonta (1-3 overall) scored four of their five goals in the fourth quarter. Rachel Morris scored three goals and won four draw controls, and Megan Foiles tallied the other two goals. Foiles and Cassidy Moore picked up two ground balls apiece. Courtney Gallagher made 13 saves.

Lauren Hamilton '22 led the Hamilton offense with four points on three goals and an assist.
Olivia Seymour '22 chipped in three goals and
Eva Abel '22 contributed two goals and an assist.

Alana King '24 was everywhere as she recorded two goals, four draw controls, four caused turnovers and three ground balls.

Aine Cleary '25 registered a goal and an assist, and
Abby Smith '24 dished out two helpers and scooped up three ground balls.

Maeve Luparello '23 stopped two shots in the first quarter and was the winning goalkeeper.
Kaitlin Reed '24 turned away six shots and didn't allow any goals in an impressive display during the second quarter.

The Continentals have won seven straight meetings against the Red Dragons. Hamilton held a 39-16 shot advantage, including 12-0 in the third quarter. The Continentals collected 18 ground balls to Oneonta's 10, and nearly doubled up the Red Dragons in draw controls (15-8).

Abel, Hamilton and Seymour are tied for the team lead with seven points each this season.
Meghan Lane '24 has seven ground balls, Seymour has won eight draws and King has caused five turnovers. Hamilton's four goalkeepers have a combined 6.00 goals against average and .581 save percentage.
