Bowdoin College's Sela Kay drained seven 3-pointers and finished with 29 points in the Polar Bears' 78-41 NESCAC win against the Hamilton College Continentals at Bowdoin's Morrell Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

Hamilton (9-11, 2-6 NESCAC) aims to bounce back in their next conference game at home against Connecticut College on Friday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. The Continentals shot 24.2 percent from the floor and went 10-for-18 at the free-throw line.

Kelcie Zarle '22 scored 16 points and
Emma Sehring '23 added seven points, eight rebounds and three assists for Hamilton.
Ellie Storey '22 grabbed seven rebounds (three offensive) in just 12 minutes off the bench.

Kay added three steals for the Polar Bears (16-4, 5-2), who are receiving votes in the coaches poll and the D3hoops.com poll. Sydney Jones dropped in 17 points and Megan Tan dished out eight assists and made three steals.

The Continentals were unable to settle into a rhythm against Bowdoin's pesky defense. The Polar Bears caused 17 turnovers thanks in part to eight steals. They also kept Hamilton off the 3-point line, as the Continentals were 1 of 18 from deep.Â

Bowdoin came out firing and made its first six shots for a quick 16-4 lead just three minutes into the first quarter. Zarle finished the quarter with nine points, but Hamilton already trailed 29-11, and the Continentals didn't get within single digits the rest of the way.
