Hamilton College's
Kate Carman '24 notched a season-high 20 kills and
Deirdre Corrigan '23 tallied a double-double as the Continentals defeated Connecticut College in three sets (25-22, 25-18, 25-22) on Saturday afternoon in Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House.
How It Happened
- The Continentals jumped out to a 10-5 advantage before the Camels rallied with a 6-1 spurt and cut Hamilton's lead to one point at 11-10. The Continentals responded with five straight points, but Conn. College produced another six-point surge and evened the score at 16-16. Hamilton ran off six of the next seven points and led the rest of the set. Hamilton closed out the first set on a kill by Carman.
- Conn. College had a hot start in the second set and produced an 8-3 lead. The Continentals gained control with six straight points powered by four kills and took their first lead of the set at 14-12. The score was tied at 16-16 when Hamilton registered eight of the next nine points. Carman closed out the set again with a kill.
- Tied at 6-6 apiece, the Continentals scored five consecutive points and held the lead the remainder of the set. Hamilton completed the sweep on kills by Corrigan and Carman.
- Hamilton registered a .286 hitting percentage with 48 kills.
- The Continentals tallied seven aces and six blocks.

- Hamilton improved to 7-5 overall (2-4 NESCAC).
- Conn. College moved to 6-8 overall and 1-6 in the conference.
- Carman earned her ninth double-digit kill match of the year.
