Women's soccer posts non-conference road win at Union

Continentals score three goals against stingy Dutchwomen defense

Hamilton College received goals from three players in the Continentals' 3-1 non-conference win against the Union College Dutchwomen at Union's College Park Field on Tuesday.
 
Season Update
Hamilton improved to 4-2-3 overall and handed the Dutchwomen, who are members of the Liberty League, just their second loss in 10 matches (8-2-0).
 
How It Happened
  • The Continentals dominated the action early with six shots and three corner kicks in the opening 17 minutes. It culminated in a goal by Hyla Mosher '23 in the 23rd minute.
  • Union rebounded quickly as Meghan Piser tied the score 3:40 later.
  • Evie McCreery '26 put Hamilton in the lead for good just 64 seconds before halftime and about four minutes after she was shown a yellow card. McCreery's goal was assisted by Ashlyn Gaulin '23 and followed the Continentals' fourth corner of the half.
  • Sarah Roth '25 notched an insurance goal for Hamilton on a pass from Rylie Mutton '23 in the 63rd minute.
  • The Dutchwomen managed just two shots the rest of the way.
 
Notes
  • Mosher's goal was her third this season and the 20th of her career.
  • McCreery and Roth picked up their first collegiate goals.
  • Gaulin collected her fourth career assist.
  • Mutton has two assists this year and 12 in her career with the Continentals.
  • Clare Robinson '25 made three saves in her third career start – all of them wins. Robinson has a 1.00 goals against average and .824 save percentage in 270 minutes this season.
  • Abby Mitty and Rachel Berliner combined to stop 13 shots for Union.
  • Hamilton owned significant advantages in shots (25-8) and corner kicks (6-3).
  • The Dutchwomen had allowed just one goal all season prior to Tuesday's match.
  • The Continentals took a 17-16-3 lead in the all-time series with Union.
