Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

No. 6/8 men’s soccer blanks Utica and remains unbeaten

Five Continentals score in 5-0 non-conference victory

Hamilton College's Sam Webber '23, Ross Eagle '26 and Sam Meyerowitz '24 netted their first goals of the season as the nationally ranked No. 6/8 Continentals cruised to a 5-0 non-conference win over the Utica University Pioneers at Hamilton's Love Field on Tuesday.

How It Happened
  • The hosts wasted no time as they scored after only 70 seconds of action. The Continentals worked their way around the box until Luke Ehrenfreund '25 chipped it over to Luke Peplowski '25. He worked his way through three defenders and lined a pass to Webber who settled a shot into the back of the net from the top of the 18.
  • Charles Hawthorn '25 extended Hamilton's lead in the 22nd minute on a pair of slick passes from Jude Rouhana '25 and Pandelis Margaronis '25. Margaronis received a corner kick and zipped it into Rouhaha who made a jumping pass to the right doorstep where Hawthorn tapped it into the lower right-hand corner.
  • Hamilton's third goal came after the break on a free kick by Ehrenfreund just outside the top of the box. Ehrenfreund saw the opportunity and took it on a hard spinner to the upper-right 90.
  • Eagle found the back of the net at 74:21 on a feed from Cole Wassiliew '26. After a Hamilton throw-in, the Continentals sent the ball into the box where John Reidy '26 slipped it to Wassiliew. He crossed it to the far side of the 6-yard box for Eagle who nestled a shot into the lower right-hand corner.
  • The Continentals scored their fifth and final goal in the 82nd minute. Hamilton intercepted a Pioneer pass and patiently worked its way into the attacking zone. Griffin Weidner '26 sent a cross into the middle of the box where Wassiliew nudged it over to Meyerowitz and he snuck it past Utica's Eduardo Paez.
  • The Continentals outshot the Pioneers 29-7 with a season-high 17 on net.
  • Hamilton held a 10-2 edge in corner kicks.
