Colby College's Emma Davis posted 12 kills and four service aces and led the Mules to a four-set NESCAC win (25-23, 25-18, 19-25, 25-22) against the Hamilton College Continentals inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Saturday afternoon.

Season Update
The Continentals dropped to 8-6 overall and 3-5 in the conference. Colby is now 12-5 overall and evened its NESCAC record at 4-4.

How It Happened
- With the score tied at 9-9 in the first set, the Mules scored four straight points and led the rest of the way. Hamilton pulled within one at 24-23 on a kill by Melissa Morelli '24, but Hannah Wyllie clinched set point with a kill.
- In the second set the Continentals led 13-10 after a Colby service error. The Mules proceeded to run off eight of the next nine points for an 18-14 advantage and led by at least two points the rest of the set.
- Hamilton rallied from a 13-9 deficit in the third set with a 13-2 spurt for a commanding 22-15 lead. The run was fueled by five Kate Carman '24 kills and two aces apiece by Morelli and Deirdre Corrigan '23. Corrigan smacked a kill on set point.
- In the fourth set the Continentals jumped out to a 6-1 advantage and led by as many as nine points at 14-5. Colby methodically crawled back into it with a pair of four-point runs and then five straight points for a 20-19 edge. Hamilton tied the score on block assists by Chiara Morley-McLaughlin '24 and Summer McClintic '24, but the Mules scored the next two points and held on to their slim lead. The match ended on a service error by the Continentals.

Notes
- Carman hammered 18 kills and had just three attack errors in 34 attempts for a .441 hitting percentage. She's second in the NESCAC with 3.67 kills per set.
- McClintic recorded her second double-double this season with 12 kills and 12 digs.
- Morelli dished out 35 assists, including the 1,000th of her Hamilton career, and served three aces.
- Corrigan chipped in three aces.
- Hanna Cillo '24 tied a career high with 12 digs.
- Morley-McLaughlin led the defense at the net with four blocks and Maggie Nichols '26 had three.
- Sydney Sick handed out 25 assists and Susie Mueller added 19 for Colby.
- Bella Schumacher helped lead the Mules with 19 digs and four aces.
- Wyllie contributed nine kills and a team-high six blocks.
- Mariella Hilyard had five blocks and Natalie Bumpus added four as Colby finished with 12 as a team.
- LJ Grant finished with 18 digs and nine kills.
- The Mules held a 55-44 advantage in kills as well as the edge in aces (12-9) and total blocks (12-8).
- Colby had lost its previous four conference matches.
