The Hamilton College Continentals wrapped up their home schedule with a dual meet victory against Colgate University at Bristol Pool on Wednesday night.
Hamilton's dual meet record improved to 4-6 with the 156-123 decision against the Division I Raiders. The Continentals travel to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for another dual meet on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 1 p.m.
Hamilton swept the relays and finished first in eight individual events.
Ethan del Rosario '24, Nick Wilkins '22, Jack Jee '24 and
Ben Howell '24 led the men's 200-yard medley relay to victory with a time of 1:36.65. The Continentals won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:30.09 with
Max Hamann '25, Luke Engel '25, Drew Frey '23 and del Rosario.
Engel captured first place in the 200 free (1:47.16) and he won the 500 free (4:53.73) by 13 one-hundredths of a second.
Edward Ha '25 ended up third in the 200 free (1:49.58).
Wilkins swept the breaststroke events with times of 58.08 seconds and 2:11.87 in the 100 and 200 breast, respectively.
Nate Hays '23 was second to Wilkins in the 200 breast (2:16.30).
Jee took the top spot in the 100 butterfly with a time of 52.02 seconds and in the 200 individual medley (1:59.78). He was also runner-up in the 200 fly (1:58.65). Wilkins was second to Jee in the 200 IM (2:02.44).
Howell grabbed first place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 56.12 seconds. The top five finishers were separated by just six-tenths of a second. He also finished second in the 50 free in 22.63 seconds and was third in the 100 free with a time of 50.18 seconds. Howell finished less than two-tenths of a second behind the winner in the 100 free.
Hamilton's other winner was del Rosario in the 50 free with a time of 22.59 seconds. Hamann landed in second place in the 100 back with a time of 56.33 seconds, and
Daniel Cho '25 took third place in the 200 back (2:04.36).
