The Hamilton College Continentals cruised to a dual meet victory over the Union College Dutchmen at Hamilton's Bristol Pool on Wednesday night.
The Continentals are now 3-4 in dual matches this season after the 149-74 decision against Union. Several Hamilton athletes recorded multiple event wins.
The Continentals kicked off the meet by finishing first in the men's 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:37.65.
Ethan del Rosario '24, Nick Wilkins '22, Jack Jee '24 and
Will Brindisi '22 made up that winning relay.
Jee also captured first place in the 100 butterfly with a time of 51.84 seconds. Wilkins was runner-up in the 400 individual medley (4:23.83) and Brindisi landed in second place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 56.98 seconds.
Hamilton completed the relays sweep with a victory in the 200 freestyle relay (1:28.51). Wilkins, del Rosario,
Ben Howell '24 and
Drew Frey '23 were the relay members. Howell was a winner in the 50 free in 22.31 seconds and in the 100 free with a time of 49.39 seconds.
Luke Engel '25 joined Howell as a double winner with victories in the 200 free (1:48.22) and the 500 free (4:56.03).
Nate Hays '23 claimed the top spot in the 400 IM (4:22.62) over Wilkins by 1.21 seconds, and
Max Hamann '25 won the 100 back in 56.10 seconds.
Matt McGregor '24 ended up in second place in the 200 free (1:50.06) and
Ethan Chiu '24 was second in the 1,000 free (10:27.58).
The Continentals travel to Williams College where they will compete against the Ephs and Middlebury College on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 1 p.m.
