Hamilton track and field competes on day one of regionals

Three Hamilton College track and field athletes competed on day one of the 2021 All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Outdoor Championships at St. John Fisher College's Polisseni Track & Field Complex on Wednesday, May 19.

The Continentals competed in the women's pole vault, women's steeplechase and men's 5,000-meter run on the first day of competition. .

Betsy Overstrum '24 placed seventh in the steeplechase with a personal-best time of 11:42.59.

Andrea Shipton '22 tied for 12th place in the pole vault with a height of 3.07 meters (10 feet, 0.75 inches).

Nick Lyon '22 finished eighth in the 5,000 meters as he crossed the finish line in 15:10.69.

Hamilton's Day Two Schedule:

1:50 p.m. - Andrew Harrell '23 in the 1500-meter run
3:45 p.m. - Lucas Wright  '21 in the 800-meter run
4:20 p.m. - Will Richardson '21 in the 400-meter hurdles
