The Hamilton College Continentals are preparing to host Wesleyan University and St. Lawrence University at Little Squash Center on Saturday, Dec. 4.

Hamilton takes on St. Lawrence at noon and plays NESCAC foe Wesleyan at approximately 4 p.m. before the Continentals take a break from competition until January 2022. Hamilton is No. 27 in the College Squash Overall Team Rankings.

The Continentals opened the 2021-22 season with a win and two losses at home on Nov. 19 and 20. No. 18 Tufts University (1-0 overall) defeated Hamilton 9-0 on Friday evening, the Continentals cruised to an 8-1 victory over No. 29 Connecticut College (0-3) on Saturday afternoon, and No. 25 Hobart College (4-4) posted a 7-2 triumph against Hamilton on Saturday night.

Simon Muller '25 and Tate Burgin '25 led the Continentals with two wins apiece at the eighth and ninth positions, respectively. Rufus Somerby '22 (third position), William Rice '24 (fourth), Ashby Howard '25 (fifth), Nicholas Carabatsos '24 (sixth) and Blake Davis '25 (seventh) swept their matches in three games against the Camels. Waleed Nisar '24 was extended to four games by his Conn. College opponent before he won at the second position.

Oliver Constable '23 (18 career wins), Somerby (16), Aaron Hadar '23 (11), Tripp Peters '23 (11) and Tate Suratt '24 (10) are the leading returners this season. Eight first-years and sophomores are playing for the first time due to losing the 2020-21 season to the coronavirus pandemic.
