The Hamilton College Continentals fell 1-0 in overtime against the Bowdoin College Polar Bears in a NESCAC matchup at Hamilton's Goodfriend Field on Saturday afternoon.
Hamilton (7-4, 3-4 NESCAC) received votes in this week's Division III Top 20 coaches poll. The Continentals stay at home to face Williams College for another conference contest on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m.
Nationally ranked No. 13 Bowdoin (8-3, 4-3) had 19 shots with 15 on goal, and was awarded eight penalty corners. This was the first overtime game played between the two teams. Maddie Ferrucci made seven saves in 69-plus minutes for the shutout.

Maggie Reville '22 came off her line to try to play the ball, but Sandhu played it through Reville's legs and it rolled across the goal line with 16 seconds left for her sixth goal this season.Â
Despite remaining scoreless across all four quarters, the game was not lacking in offensive opportunities. Hamilton had 10 shots with seven of them on goal, and the Continentals matched Bowdoin's eight penalty corners. Reville turned away a season-high 13 shots and
Maeve Eskandari '24 posted her second defensive save in three games. Reville has a 1.49 goals against average and .767 save percentage this fall.
