The Hamilton College Continentals secured the fourth seed in the 2020 NESCAC Women's Hockey Championship after playing to a 2-2 overtime draw with the Connecticut College Camels on Saturday inside Hamilton's Russell Sage Rink.

The Continentals (15-8-1, 9-6-1 NESCAC), which received votes in this week's USCHO.com Division III Top 10 poll, will play a NESCAC championship quarterfinal on home ice against fifth-seeded Williams College (12-8-4, 8-6-2) on Saturday, Feb. 29 at 1 p.m.

Hamilton outshot Connecticut College 10-2 in the first period but the game remained scoreless heading into the second. Allie Curry '23 scored the first goal after she picked up a loose puck that had been banked off the boards by Kate Piacenza '21 following a blocked shot taken by the Camels. Curry took it all the way down and buried a shot in the back of the net on the glove side for her fifth goal with 4:22 left.

Michaela Giuttari '20 made it 2-0 at the 12:13 mark in the third period. Giuttari took the puck off a Conn. College stick and skated all the way down, deked through the defense and put it away far side for a power-play goal. She is tied for the team lead with nine goals, leads the NESCAC in defender scoring and is fourth overall in points with 24.

Connecticut College (13-7-4, 6-6-4) scored a power-play goal with 1:47 remaining in the third. The Camels pulled their goaltender to play 6-on-4 and Camille Phelan scored with assists from Sammi Estes and Melissa Alexander.

The Camels tied the score with 33.5 seconds to go after they pulled the goaltender again for an extra skater and Ashley Carbone was able to poke the puck into the net out of a scrum in front. Hamilton had the only two shots on goal during the five-minute overtime period.

Sidney Molnar '22 made 13 saves while the Camels' Carly Denora made 23. Molnar is third in the NESCAC with a .731 winning percentage, sixth with a 1.45 goals against average and seventh with a .928 save percentage.
