Hamilton College's Timary Malley '20 and Allie Curry '23 had a goal and an assist apiece and the Continentals cruised to a 6-0 non-conference win against the Utica College Pioneers at the Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium on Tuesday night.

Hamilton (9-6-0 overall) tied a season high with the six goals and has scored 14 in its current three-game win streak. The Continentals have won five of their last six contests. Hamilton enjoyed a 48-13 shot advantage and scored on two of its six power-play opportunities.

Utica (5-10-0) went 0-for-3 on the power play and is winless in six home games. Bria Reilly made 42 saves. The Pioneers have a 5-2 record in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference. 

Malley won 9 of 15 faceoffs and Missy Segall '21 won 7 of 10. Sammy Johnson '20 turned away all 13 shots she faced and posted her third career shutout with the Continentals. Johnson owns a 1.26 goals against average and .928 save percentage in four starts. Curry and Malley picked up their first multi-point games this season. Maura Holden '23 was credited with two assists, Hyla Mosher '23 scored a goal for the fourth time in the last five games, and Katherine Solohub '23 tallied her first goal at Hamilton.

Nancy Loh '22 put the Continentals on the scoreboard with her sixth goal on a pass from Kelli Mackey '20 at 4:10 of the first period. Malley made it 2-0 on her second goal with 4:48 left in the first. Madie Bologa '21 sent a centering pass from behind the net to Malley in the slot for a one-timer that beat Reilly.

Jess Haviland '21 scored the lone goal of the second period with 6:44 remaining on a fantastic individual effort. Haviland intercepted a pass near center ice and skated down the left wing. She sped through the left faceoff circle, down to the goal line and quickly cut towards the net. She moved the puck from her forehand to her backhand and slid a low shot under Reilly's glove from the top of the crease for her fourth goal.

Mosher made it 4-0 on a power-play goal just 1:35 into the third period. Emily Walther '21 took a wrist shot from near the blue line above the right faceoff circle and Mosher tipped it out of midair past Reilly. Curry notched her third goal on a pass from Malley at 8:01 of the third and Solohub completed the scoring on a power-play goal with 6:13 to go. Holden and Kate Piacenza '21 had the assists.

Hamilton is off until Tuesday, Jan. 28 when the Continentals travel to SUNY Oswego for another non-conference game at 7 p.m.
