The Hamilton College Continentals dropped the first of their three matches this weekend, losing 8-1 to Colby College at Amherst College on Friday.
Hamilton (0-6 overall) is 30th in the College Squash Team Rankings while the Mules are 26th. The Continentals will face Stanford University at 9:30 a.m. and Amherst at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19 in Amherst, Massachusetts. Hamilton's Sunday matches against Wesleyan University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology have been cancelled due to Winter Storm Harper.
At the first position Callum Sondhi '20 recorded his first win of the season in a five-game battle. Sondhi won the first two games, including 18-16 in Game 1, and then dropped the next two. He recovered to win the decisive fifth game in dramatic fashion, 12-10.
Atticus Jones '19 stretched Chase Holding to the limit at the third position, but ultimately dropped the match in five games.
