The Hamilton College Continentals opened the 2018-19 season with 9-0 setbacks against Connecticut College on Saturday and Williams College on Sunday at Hamilton's Little Squash Center.

The Continentals -- No. 29 in the preseason rankings -- are currently playing with just one returner in Atticus Jones '19. All four juniors on the roster are participating in the College's off-campus study program during the fall semester. On Saturday Jones took his second position opponent to five games, winning the first two by scores of 13-11 and 11-7, but dropping the last three.

Rufus Somerby '22 won one game off his Williams opponent at the first position on Sunday by a score of 12-10, but ultimately lost the match in four games.

First-years Oliver Constable '22, Graham Nielsen '22 and Will Nocito '22 played at the third, fourth and ninth positions, respectively. Nick Randolph '21 (fifth position) and Kyle O'Connor '21 (sixth) are also in their first season with the Continentals. Matthew Haas '19 (seventh) and John Buckley '19 (eighth), both of whom are also on the roster for the first time, filled out the lineup.

The Continentals aim to rebound on Saturday, Dec. 2 when they host the University of Western Ontario at the Little Squash Center at 3 p.m.
