The Hamilton College men's squash team posted a 7-2 win against Haverford College on Jan. 20 as the Continentals played four matches in one weekend in western Massachusetts.

Hamilton (5-6 overall) took on the Fords on Saturday afternoon at Amherst College before the Continentals dropped an 8-1 decision against Colby College in Amherst, Mass., on Saturday night. Hamilton lost to Massachusetts Institute of Technology by the same score at Mount Holyoke College on Sunday morning and then fell 7-2 against host Amherst that afternoon.

The Continentals are 26th in the College Squash Association rankings. Haverford is 31st, Colby is 23rd, MIT is 22nd and the Mammoths are 24th.

Hamilton's Colin O'Dowd '19 enjoyed a big weekend as he won all four of his matches at the first position. O'Dowd swept his Haverford and MIT opponents, took care of his Colby opponent in four games and outlasted his Amherst opponent in five. He leads the Continentals with eight wins and owns a 31-21 career record at Hamilton.

Callum Sondhi '20 collected wins against Haverford and Amherst -- both in four games -- at the second position. Sondhi and William Jordan '20 have won six matches apiece this season. Jordan was a winner in four games at the ninth position against Haverford.

Tristan Chaix '20 and Jonathan Ruth '18 were victorious in three games against Haverford at the fifth and seventh positions, respectively. Atticus Jones '19 was triumphant in four games at the sixth position and Ward Urban '18 prevailed in five games at the eighth position.

The Continentals host Hobart College on Saturday, Jan. 27 at noon before they take on Trinity College later that night at 7 at the Little Squash Center.
