The Continentals (10-10, 3-5 NESCAC) honored Caroline Barrett '17 and Kate Bushell '17 before the game with a Senior Day ceremony as it was Hamilton's last home game this season. Barrett celebrated the occasion by scoring 11 points.

Caverly gave the Mules their last lead at 53-52 on a layup with 2:15 left. Getman put Hamilton in front to stay on a basket in the paint 17 seconds later and added another bucket from close range with 1:05 remaining. Barrett went 4-for-6 at the free-throw line in the final 33 seconds to clinch the victory. Colby missed all five of its shot attempts in the last two minutes. Getman and Barrett combined to score 17 of the Continentals' 19 points in the fourth quarter.

Neither team led by more than five points in the fourth quarter until the final seconds. There were eight lead changes and one tie score in the fourth alone. The Mules used an 8-2 spurt early in the quarter to grab a 46-45 edge after a Katie McCrum 3-pointer with 7:10 to go.

The first quarter featured three ties and three lead changes. Burns and O'Hern scored six points apiece and O'Hern gave Hamilton a 13-12 edge after one on a layup with 1:35 left.

The score was tied at 19-19 midway through the second quarter when Colby went on an 11-2 run and took its largest lead of the day. Caverly started the spurt with a 3-pointer and added a pair of free throws. After a Getman jumper, the Mules' Emily Davis canned a jumper and Driscoll capped the run with two baskets for a 30-21 cushion with 33 secoonds remaining.

The teams traded turnovers and the Continentals had 4.6 seconds to go. The ball was inbounded to O'Hern, she hurried into the frontcourt and passed to Mackenzie Aldridge '20. Aldridge took one dribble and swished a 3-pointer to pull Hamilton within 30-24 as the halftime buzzer sounded. Driscoll finished the quarter with nine points as Colby was 7 of 11 from the floor.

Aldridge's basket seemed to ignite the Continentals for the second half. Hamilton scored the first four points of the third quarter and finally caught the Mules with 2:06 left. A jumper by Burns gave Colby a 38-35 lead with 3:46 remaining and the Mules didn't score again until the fourth quarter.
