Hamilton blanked at Bowdoin

Box Score

The Hamilton College women's hockey team dropped a 2-0 decision to host Bowdoin Friday in the opener of a weekend NESCAC series in Brunswick, Maine. The Continentals are now 10-7-2 on the season with a 4-5-2 NESCAC mark.

Sam Walther '18 made 30 saves for Hamilton. Lan Crofton posted the shutout with 24 saves. She denied Alycia Racicot '16 with back-to-back stops midway through the first period, including a diving glove save on the rebound. Megan Fitzgerald '16 skated down the right boards on a Continental power play midway through the second period and fed Andrea Rockey '19 in the slot, executing a 2-on-1. Rockey went far post to tuck away an uncontested bid only to see Crofton close the gap and keep Hamilton off the board.

Bowdoin (8-8-2, 5-5-1 NESCAC) and Hamilton face off again Saturday at 3 p.m.
