Continentals wrap up final road trip of regular season

The Hamilton College women's hockey team wrapped up a weekend NESCAC series at Amherst College Saturday, losing 5-0. The hosts are ranked fourth nationally by D3hockey.com and are fifth in the USCHO.com poll.

Amherst is now 18-1-3 overall with a NESCAC record of 11-1-2. Hamilton falls to 11-9-2 overall and 5-7-2 in the NESCAC.

Sam Walther '18 made 10 first period saves and Jaime Meroz '19 stopped 18 shots over the final 40 minutes.

Erin Martin recorded a natural hat trick to pace the hosts. She scored late in the opening period, then at 2:40 and 17:50 of the second period.

The Continentals return home to close out the regular season with a NESCAC series against Connecticut College. Hamilton faces the Camels Friday at 7 p.m. at Russell Sage Rink and again Saturday at 3 p.m.
