Laura Falkowitz

Laura Falkowitz is in her second year as an assistant coach with the Hamilton College volleyball program. Falkowitz coached at Scotia-Glenville High School from 2013 to 2015.

Falkowitz was the Scotia-Glenville junior varsity coach her first year before she was promoted to head varsity coach in 2014. She guided the varsity to their first New York Section II (postseason) win in 23 years. She had also been the 18U head coach of the Lakeside Volleyball Club since 2013.

Falkowitz played Division II volleyball at The College of St. Rose where she was a member of the Commissioners Honor Roll and an athletics all-academic award recipient for having a grade point average of 3.0 or better. The defensive specialist played in 238 career sets and racked up 433 digs in four years. She helped the team to a pair of postseason appearances, including the Northeast-10 Conference Championship final in 2011. She graduated in 2013 with a degree in social work.

Falkowitz enjoyed a successful high school playing career at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake. She helped lead the team to three straight Section II Class AA titles and three consecutive New York regional championships from 2006 to 2008. The team advanced to the state final four each of those three years. Falkowitz was an all-state selection in 2007 and 2008. She was selected the Albany Times-Union Female Athlete of the Year and the Suburban Council Most Valuable Player in 2008. Earlier that same year she played in the Empire State Games.
