Nanyamka Moore

Nanyamka Moore joined the Hamilton College athletic department staff as an assistant women's basketball coach in August 2018. She was previously an assistant coach at Roberts Wesleyan College for the 2017-18 season.

Moore helped lead Division II Roberts Wesleyan to a 20-10 record, including 13-5 in the East Coast Conference, and the semifinals of the 2018 conference championship. She coached four players to all-conference team honors.

Moore coached at Claflin University -- another Division II school -- in Orangeburg, South Carolina, from 2013 to 2017. She was a graduate assistant the first two seasons and an assistant the last two. Claflin didn't have a losing record in any of Moore's four seasons and racked up a total of 60 victories. She has also been an assistant varsity coach at two Michigan high schools.

Moore played her collegiate basketball at Division I Purdue University Fort Wayne from 2005 to 2009. She scored 316 points, grabbed 241 rebounds and dished out 124 assists in 107 career games. She went on to play professionally for the Flint Monarchs of the Global Women's Basketball Association for four years.

The Detroit native graduated from Purdue Fort Wayne with a degree in mass media and public communication. Moore earned her master's degree in business management from Claflin.
