Hamilton College

Matt Wright joined the Hamilton College football staff as an assistant coach in March 2008. Wright guides the defensive line after he served as the offensive line coach his first few years on the staff, and he is the program's recruiting coordinator. Wright coached all-NESCAC team selections on the offensive line from 2014 to 2016, and had all-conference picks on the defensive line in 2019 and 2021. One of his offensive linemen made the 2014 D3football.com all-region team.

Wright was an assistant at Plattsburgh High School in New York from 2005 to 2007. He was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for Plattsburgh's varsity program in 2007 and was the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for the junior varsity the previous year.

Wright played for Ithaca College for two years after he graduated from Plattsburgh in 2001. He has a bachelor's degree in clinical exercise science.
