Garrett Lamborn returned to Hamilton College in 2022 after he was on the baseball coaching staff from 2015 to 2019. LambornĀ helped lead the Continentals to 80 wins in fiveĀ years. He coached six all-NESCAC team selections and three all-region team honorees. The baseball team set or tied seven single-season program recordsĀ including wins, batting average, on-base percentage and runs batted in.

Lamborn was on the Wesleyan University coaching staff from 2010 to 2014. He helped the Cardinals to three NESCAC postseason appearances, two first-place finishes in the NESCAC West Division and their first conference title in 2014.

Lamborn was a four-year letter winner and a two-year starter in the outfield at Wesleyan from 2006 to 2009. He emerged as the starting left fielder his junior year and led the team with a .380 batting average and an on-base percentage of .472. As a senior he hit .359 with a .468 on-base percentage and a team-best .594 slugging percentage. Lamborn and the Cardinals made their first NESCAC playoff appearance in four years.Ā He graduated with a degree in mathematics and economics.

Lamborn played semi-professional baseball for a season in Belgium and for three seasons in South Australia, and played in the independent Peach State League in Macon, Georgia.Ā
