Erik Carlson

Erik Carlson joined the Hamilton College baseball coaching staff in November 2022. He had been Yale University's director of baseball operations since August.

Carlson was the assistant varsity coach, head junior varsity coach and recruiting coordinator at Eastern Connecticut State University for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Eastern Connecticut State won the NCAA Division III title in 2022 with a 49-3 record, which was a team record for wins in a season. The Warriors finished 2021 at 32-8 and they were the No. 1 seed in the Auburn, N.Y., NCAA regional. He coached a two-time regional player of the year and three players to four all-America selections. Carlson guided 20 all-Little East Conference team honorees, 14 all-region team picks and a 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-American. He worked with the catchers and hitters during practice and games.

Carlson was Division I Northeastern University's director of analytics and player development during the 2019 and 2020 seasons, and was the director of player development at Nichols College in 2018.

Carlson graduated from Nichols with a bachelor's degree in accounting in 2017.
