Biography

2021: Started all 12 games...  Finished the season with a .207 batting average, .425 on-base percentage, .310 slugging percentage, 6 hits, 7 runs, 1 double, 1 triple and 3 RBIs in 29 at bats... Named to the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team... Selected for the NESCAC Spring All-Sportsmanship Team.

2019: Appeared in seven of 32 games as a sophomore... Had a hit and scored one run in a 12-7 win over Saint Joseph's (Me.) on March 25... Finished the season with a .100 batting average, .100 on-base percentage and .100 slugging percentage in 10 at bats... Committed three errors all season for a .500 fielding percentage in six total chances.

2018: Appeared in 13 of 34 games as a first-year... Went 2-for-3 with a walk in a 7-5 win over No. 6/8 SUNY Cortland on April 23... Hit an RBI-single in a 4-1 win at St. Lawrence on April 24... Finished the season with a .250  batting average, .379 on-base percentage, .250 slugging percentage and two RBIs in 24 at bats... Committed seven errors all season for a .759 fielding percentage in 29 total chances.

Personal: Undeclared major... Matt attended Montclair High School... He played for the New Jersey Cardinals for two years... Matt is the son of Michael and Christine McGoey.
