ORLANDO, Fla. – Hamilton College won five of six singles matches and the Continentals posted a 5-2 win against the Luther College Norse at Lake Cane Tennis Center on Saturday, March 21.
 

Season Update

• Hamilton (3-3 overall) is ranked 34th in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Men's Division III Top 40 coaches poll.
• Luther (8-2), which is located in Iowa, has dropped its last three meetings with the Continentals after the Norse recorded a 6-3 win against Hamilton in March 2017.

 

How It Happened

• After Luther picked up the doubles team point by capturing two of the three doubles matches, the Continentals responded by dominating singles play and grabbing five team points.
• Four of Hamilton's five singles victories were in straight sets.

 

Notes

• Tarun Korwar '27 and Anson Anderson '26 were winners in both singles and doubles play. Korwar has a team-best singles record of 17-7 and he and Anderson are 10-6 as a doubles team this season. Korwar is 13^th in Division III singles rankings and third in the region.
• Anderson is up to 58 career doubles and 48 career singles wins. He prevailed in a third set super-tiebreaker at No. 4 singles. Anderson and Korwar won for the 33^rd time as a pairing in their career with the Continentals.
• Lleyton Mendieta '28 picked up his 26^th career singles victory with a triumph at No. 2.
• Eerik Villem Aadamsoo '28 dropped just three games at No. 3 singles and won for the 27^th time in his career.
• Alejandro Fernandez '28 is second on the team with an 11-4 singles record after his win at No. 6.
