ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -- Four Hamilton College players won their singles and doubles matches, and the Continentals cruised to a 6-1 win against the Springfield College Pride at Sanlando Park on Thursday afternoon, March 19.
 

Season Update

• Hamilton (2-3 overall) is ranked 34^th in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Men's Division III Top 40 coaches poll.
• Springfield (4-5) edged the Continentals 5-4 in their previous meeting nearly 10 years ago to the day.

 

How It Happened

• Hamilton claimed the team doubles point by winning the Nos. 1 and 2 doubles matches.
• The Continentals captured five singles matches in straight sets.

 

Notes

• Tarun Korwar '27 won at No. 1 singles for his team-high 16^th victory and paired with Anson Anderson '26 at No. 2 doubles for their 32^nd career win. Korwar is ranked 13^th in Division III and third in the Northeast Region in singles.
• Lleyton Mendieta '28 breezed to a win at No. 2 singles for his 25^th career victory and teamed up with Eerik Villem Aadamsoo '28 for the triumph at No. 1 doubles. The duo is ranked 15^th in Division III and fourth in the region with a 14-6 record.
• Anderson picked up his 57^th career doubles and 47th career singles wins.
• Aadamsoo improved to 34-15 in career doubles matches. He dropped just three games in his No. 3 singles win.
• Alejandro Fernandez '28 prevailed at No. 5 singles after winning a first set tiebreaker. Fernandez is second to Korwar with a 10-4 singles record.
• Hamilton was forced to cancel three matches after inclement weather in New York disrupted its travel plans to Florida.
