CLINTON, N.Y. – Hamilton College's
Eerik Villem Aadamsoo '28 and
Lleyton Mendieta '28 won their doubles match, but the Amherst College Mammoths defeated the Continentals 7-0 in a NESCAC match at Hamilton's Tietje Family Tennis Center on Saturday, April 4.
Season Update
- The 41st-ranked Continentals (6-5, 1-4 NESCAC) were coming off a 4-3 win against Trinity College on March 29.
- Nationally ranked No. 21 Amherst (6-4, 4-2) lost 6-1 to Tufts University in the Mammoths' last match on March 29.
How It Happened
- Aadamsoo and Mendieta cruised to victory at No. 1 doubles. Amherst won the other two doubles matches and claimed the team doubles point.
- The Mammoths won all six singles matches in straight sets.
Notes
- Aadamsoo and Mendieta are the 15th-ranked doubles pairing in Division III and are ranked fourth in the Northeast Region.
- Aadamsoo and Mendieta have a 7-4 record as Hamilton's top doubles team in dual matches this spring.
