Women's tennis tripped up by Williams in NESCAC road match

Continentals play another conference match at Middlebury on Sunday, April 19

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Williams College won all six singles matches in straight sets and the Ephs recorded a 7-0 NESCAC victory against the Hamilton College Continentals at Williams' Hunt Tennis Center on Saturday, April 18.

Season Update

  • Hamilton (9-5, 3-4 NESCAC) is 49th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III computerized team rankings. The Continentals were coming off a 7-0 win against Bates College on April 11.
  • The 17th-ranked Ephs (10-5, 4-3) have won each of their last two matches by 7-0 decisions.

How It Happened

Williams won all three doubles matches and captured the doubles team point. The Ephs went on to sweep the singles matches.

Notes

The closest Hamilton came to winning a set was at No. 6 singles where the first set went to a tiebreaker.

Next Match

The Continentals are at Middlebury College (10-4, 6-1) for another NESCAC match on Sunday, April 19 at 10 a.m.
