CLINTON, N.Y. – Oswego State's Benjamin Silverman delivered an RBI single in the top of the 11
th inning and lifted the Lakers to a 5-4 win over the Hamilton College Continentals at Hamilton's Loop Road Athletic Complex on Sunday, March 8.
Season Update
- Hamilton (0-5 overall) played its third game of the weekend after dropping a doubleheader against Clarkson on Saturday, March 7.
- Oswego (2-6) claimed its second win of the day at the Loop Road Athletic Complex after defeating Clarkson by a score of 9-3 earlier in the afternoon.
How It Happened
- Facing a 4-2 deficit after seven innings, Hamilton cut its lead in half in the bottom of the eighth as Michael Tallarida '26 ripped a double to right field, stole third, and scored on a wild pitch.
- Ethan Righter '27 drew a walk to lead off the bottom of the ninth, then Andrew Millington '28 moved him into scoring position with a sacrifice bunt, and Gianni DiCerbo '27 drove him in with a double to right field, tying the game at 4-4.
- Hamilton left runners on second and third in the bottom of the tenth, then Oswego scored the go-ahead run in the top of the 11th.
- Oswego reliever Matthew Drillings struck out the side in the bottom of the 11th to close out the win for the Lakers.
- Oswego grabbed a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning with the help of an RBI triple from Dylan Rosenberg and an RBI single up the middle by Silverman.
- The Continentals got a run back in the bottom of the frame as Tallarida smashed a triple into the gap in left center and crossed the plate following a base hit by Satish Raichur '28.
- Hamilton tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the sixth as Lucas Herman '26 drove in Tallarida with a double to right center.
- A two-run single by Oswego's Jordan Ynoa put the Lakers ahead 4-2 in the seventh.

- Tallarida and DiCerbo both recorded a double and a triple for the Continentals.
- DiCerbo and Herman both drove in their first run of the season.
- Hamilton starting pitcher Mark Kovach '28 allowed three hits, one walk and two runs in six innings.
- Anthony Palumbo '29 recorded three strikeouts in three innings pitched in relief.
- Chester Boynton '27 and Alfonso Rada '27 each drew two walks for Hamilton.
- Oswego's Jonah Shearer totaled six strikeouts in five innings of work.
- Silverman finished with two hits, two walks, one run and two runs batted in for the Lakers.
