ONEONTA, N.Y. – The SUNY Oneonta Red Dragons scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to claim a 6-4 non-conference win over the Hamilton College Continentals at Oneonta's Red Dragon Baseball Field on Tuesday, March 31.
Season Update
- Hamilton (7-9 overall) will begin a six-game conference homestand this weekend.
- Oneonta (11-9) improved to 8-3 at home this season.
How It Happened
- Hamilton's Chester Boynton '27 helped manufacture the game's first run in the top of the first. Boynton drew a leadoff walk, stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch, and scored on a ground ball hit by Lucas Herman '26. Anthony Palumbo '29 drove in Taylor Kaufman '26 with a single up the middle during the next at bat for a 2-0 lead.
- Oneonta's Gavin Carlucci crossed the plate in the bottom of the third to make it 2-1.
- The Red Dragons scored five runs in the fourth and grabbed a 6-2 lead with the help of a two-run double by Zachary Rowe.
- Edo Spadaccini '26 ripped a pinch hit single to left field and knocked in Herman in the sixth, then came around to score later in the inning and trimmed the deficit to 6-4.

- Alfonso Rada '27 went 2-for-3 at the plate for Hamilton.
- Kaufman drew two walks and scored a run.
- Palumbo made his first career start on the mound for Hamilton and allowed zero hits, zero runs and two walks with one strikeout in two innings.
- Ethan Righter '27 tossed one scoreless inning in relief.
- Nathan VanDeVoorde collected his first win of the season for Oneonta after recording one strikeout in one inning in relief.
- Rowe finished with a game-high two runs batted in and scored another.
- Carlucci scored a game-high two runs for the Red Dragons.
