No. 39 women's tennis drops 6-1 decision against Tufts, Farah '29 wins

First-year is undefeated in eight singles matches this spring for the Continentals

CLINTON, N.Y. – Hamilton College's Mona Farah '29 won her singles match but the Tufts University Jumbos emerged with the 6-1 NESCAC victory against the Continentals inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Saturday, March 28.
 

Season Update

  • The 39th-ranked Continentals (7-3, 1-2 NESCAC) had won their previous four matches, which were played in Florida.
  • Nationally ranked No. 16 Tufts (8-1, 3-0) won its third straight match.
 

How It Happened

  • The Jumbos swept the three doubles matches and took the team doubles point.
  • Four of the six singles matches were won in straight sets by Tufts players. The Jumbos were also winners at No. 3 singles, which went to three sets.
  • Farah dropped just one game against Tufts' Natalie Hu at No. 4 singles.
 

Notes

Farah is a perfect 8-0 in singles play this spring. She is 1-0 at No. 3 singles, 2-0 at No. 4 and 5-0 at No. 5.
