Seven Hamilton College swimmers compete in the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, which will be held from Wednesday, March 18 through Saturday, March 21 at IU Indianapolis' IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The preliminary heats start at 10 a.m. each day and the finals begin at 6 p.m. all four nights. The Continentals are represented by
Matthew Chang '27, Chloe Lan '28, Jade Matthias '26, Carolyn Miner '27, Charlotte Sorensen '28, Nathaniel Taft '27 and
Paige Wielgus '28.

Sorensen is the first one in the water on Wednesday with the women's 200-yard individual medley. She is seeded 42
nd according to the pysch sheet with a time of 2:06.42. This is her first appearance in the NCAA championships.

Taft is next in the men's 50 freestyle where he's seeded eighth with a time of 19.86 seconds. Taft is a two-time all-American in the event for finishing in seventh place last year and sixth in 2024.

Matthias is in the women's 50 free and seeded 23
rd with a team-record time of 23.33 seconds. She tied for 18
th in the event at the 2024 championships.

Chang kicks off Thursday's schedule in the men's 100 butterfly. He is seeded 40
th in the event with a team-record time of 49.59 seconds. This is Chang's first trip to the national meet.

Matthias is seeded 47
th in the women's 100 fly with a time of 57.36 seconds. She is competing in this event at the NCAA championships for the first time.

Sorensen is seeded 28
th in the women's 200 IM with a team-record time of 4:28.62.

Thursday wraps up with the women's 200 free relay. Hamilton, which finished in the top 16 in this event in two of the last three NCAA meets, is seeded 16
th with a team-record time of 1:33.86. Matthias has two of her three all-America awards in this event, and she was joined by Miner and Lan on last year's relay. Wielgus rounds out this year's relay and is in the national championship for the first time.

Chang starts a light Friday schedule for the Continentals with the men's 100 backstroke. Chang is seeded 14
th in the event with a team-record time of 48.07 seconds.

Matthias is also seeded 14
th in the women's 100 back with a time of 55.61 seconds. She collected her third career all-America award by finishing 16
th in this event at the 2024 meet.

Taft concludes his meet on Saturday with the men's 100 free, for which he already owns two all-America awards. He's seeded 10
th with a time of 43.86 seconds. Taft took eighth place in 2025 and fifth place in 2024.

Chang is seeded 30
th in the men's 200 back with a time of 1:51.31. Sorensen is seeded 41
st in the women's 200 back in 2:06.05.

The 400 free relay is the meet's last event, and Hamilton Is seeded 24
th with a team record-tying time of 3:28.99. Matthias was on the relay that finished 22
nd at the 2023 and 2025 championships. Miner and Lan joined Matthias on the relay last year and they are joined by Wielgus this week.
