BOSTON – The Hamilton College Continentals competed in the New England Small College Invitational hosted by Middlebury College at the Track at New Balance on Sunday, Feb. 1.
The meet was the fourth of the season for the Continentals and a non-scoring competition.
Ian Fisher '29 took down a 33-year-old record in the 60-meter hurdles and propelled himself into second place with a time of 8.52 seconds. Tony Richardson '93 held the old record of 8.58 seconds since Feb. 12, 1993.
Hamilton put three athletes in the top six of the 800-meter run.
Luke Ferraiolo '29 pulled out a fantastic fourth-place finish as he passed three competitors in the last 100 meters and finished in a season-best time of 1:55.86 -- the third-best performance in Continentals history.
Jack Quinn '27 and
Ellis Goodson '27 ended up in fifth and sixth place, respectively.
Hamilton competes at the Utica University Blue and Orange Invitational inside Todd and Jen Hutton Field House on Friday, Feb. 6 and Saturday, Feb. 7.
