CLINTON, N.Y. – Williams College's Kathleen Smith tallied 30 points and 19 rebounds in the Ephs' 73-63 NESCAC win over the Hamilton College Continentals on Hamilton's Coach Tom Murphy Court inside Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Friday evening, Feb. 13.

- Hamilton (11-12, 3-6 NESCAC) dropped to 6-3 at home this season.
- Williams (11-12, 4-5) snapped a four-game skid in conference play.
How It Happened
- Hamilton's Maggie Kernodle '29, Kendall Harris '27 and Abbey Schwoebel '27 provided four points each during the first quarter and the Continentals led 18-16 after 10 minutes of action. The Ephs knocked down both of their 3-point field goal attempts in the first.
- Schwoebel drove to the hoop and converted a layup with 2:09 left and gave the Continentals an 18-11 lead. Williams scored the final five points with a jumper by Hanorah Murphy and a 3-pointer by Sarah Pettegrove with 1:12 left.
- Smith scored from near the left block with 8:37 left in the second quarter and gave the Ephs their first lead at 20-18.
- Erica Hills '28 provided five points during an 8-0 burst for the Continentals that put them back in front at 26-20 with 6:57 remaining.
- Williams got back within one at 30-29 following a layup by Smith at the 3:46 mark, but Harris knocked down a 3-pointer less than one minute later, and Kernodle converted an old-fashioned 3-point play with 1:49 left that extended Hamilton's lead to 36-29.
- Smith scored the final basket of the second just before the buzzer and Hamilton carried a 38-33 advantage into halftime.
- The Ephs grabbed 12 of their 15 offensive rebounds during the third quarter and took twice as many shots as Hamilton did. Smith scored 10 points in the third, six of which came on second-chance opportunities.
- Williams tied the score at 48-48 following a jumper by Pettegrove with 2:07 left. Althea Hill '26 found Annabelle Semeter '28 for a corner 3 at the other end that made it 51-48.
- The Ephs closed the quarter on a 6-0 burst for a 54-51 edge heading into the fourth.
- Harris swished a pull-up jumper from the left side with 7:21 left in the fourth and cut Hamilton's deficit to one point at 54-53. The Ephs responded with eight straight points over the next 3:31 of game action for a 62-53 lead at the 3:50 mark. Williams took its largest lead of 12 points at 66-54 with 1:27 remaining following a pull-up jumper by Micah Walton that capped a 12-1 run for the Ephs.
- Harris keyed a quick 5-0 spurt for Hamilton. She knocked down a 3-pointer with 1:08 left and deflected the subsequent inbounds pass to Kernodle, who found Hills for a layup with just under a minute left and trimmed the deficit to 66-59.
- Williams shot 7-for-10 at the free-throw line in the final minute.
Notes
- Harris scored a team-high 14 points for the Continentals and added three steals. She has scored in double figures in 16 consecutive games.
- Kernodle and Hills provided 13 and 11 points, respectively.
- Zoe Myslewicz '28 grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds, including five offensive boards, to go along with seven points and three blocks.
- Taylor Lambo '26 added eight points and eight rebounds for the Continentals.
- Smith shot 14-of-22 from the field and collected 11 offensive rebounds.
- Walton also scored in double figures for the Ephs with 12 points and added a game-high four assists.
- Murphy added nine points for the Ephs, while Evelyn Walcott finished with eight points and two blocks off the bench.

The Continentals play their final game of the regular season and celebrate Senior Day on Saturday, Feb. 14 when they host Middlebury College (12-11, 3-6) at 3 p.m.
