CLINTON, N.Y. – Hamilton College tied its season high in goals and Tobin Walsh '29 tallied five saves as the Continentals collected their eighth shutout of the season with a 3-0 NESCAC win over the Colby College Mules at Hamilton's Love Field on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Season Update

  • Hamilton (6-4-4 overall, 3-4-3 NESCAC) celebrated Senior Day and played its final match of the regular season. The Continentals have clinched a spot in the 2026 NESCAC Championship.
  • Colby (4-6-4, 1-6-2) dropped its fourth straight conference match.

How It Happened

  • Walsh made the first save of the match in the 13th minute, then the Continentals opened the scoring at the 15:44 mark off a corner kick. The ball was punched out by the Colby goalkeeper toward the top of the box where William Fauth '29 took a touch then fired a low right-footed shot through a crowd and into the bottom left corner to register his first career goal as a Continental.
  • With just under eight minutes left in the half, Brady Hill '30 collected the ball at the Hamilton goal line, carried it forward and drove a long pass up the field. Abe Cavalieri '30 sprinted up the right channel, used his first touch to poke the ball past the oncoming goalkeeper, and tapped it into an empty net to double Hamilton's lead.
  • Hamilton's Julian Antezana '30 placed a shot on goal in the 41st minute that was saved by Colby's Jackson Magee, and the Continentals carried their 2-0 lead into halftime.
  • Less than one minute into the second half, Magee came off his line and made a point-blank save on a shot by Troy Miller '28 from the right side of the box.
  • Colby's Santi Canencio Moreno worked his way into the right side of the six-yard box and placed a shot on goal that was saved by Walsh in the 56th minute.
  • The Continentals extended their lead to 3-0 with just over 16 minutes left as Zach Tracy '28 dribbled around two Colby defenders and fired a low left-footed shot past the goalkeeper.
  • Walsh and the Hamilton defense kept Colby off the scoreboard for the remainder of the match to secure the shutout.
