TROY, N.Y. – The Hamilton College Continentals won 10 swimming events to record a 189-111 win against the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Engineers inside RPI's Robinson Pool on Saturday, Jan. 31

The Continentals improved to 5-3 in dual meets, and will return to action for the NESCAC Championships at Wesleyan University beginning Thursday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m.

Megan Janczyk '29, Brooks Risher '27 and Zoe Reynolds '28 each won two individual events for the Continentals. Janczyk finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200 breaststroke, Reynolds touched the wall first in the 200 IM and the 200 butterfly, and Risher won the 500 freestyle and 1000 freestyle events.

Janczyk, along with Jade Matthias '26, Chloe Lan '28 and Paige Wielgus '28 comprised the winning 200 medley relay.

The 200 freestyle relay of Carolyn Miner '27, Lan, Wielgus and Matthias also finished first for the Continentals. Matthias finished first in the 100 backstroke to give her three victories on the day.

Mila Smarrito '29 also earned a first-place finish in the 200 backstroke. The Continentals placed first, second and third in the 1000 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 500 freestyle, and 200 IM.
