CLINTON, N.Y. – Williams College scored a goal in both halves and the Ephs defeated the Hamilton College Continentals 2-0 in NESCAC action at Hamilton's Love Field on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

How it Happened
- Williams got up early with Elizabeth Stophel putting up the first NESCAC goal of the season in the seventh minute.
- In the 40th minute, Haley Cramer '28 of Hamilton took a header towards the net, but missed wide left.
- The Ephs' Maya Lloyd scored in the 70th minute and provided Williams with an important insurance goal.
- Hamilton pressed between the 72nd and 82nd minutes as the Continentals took five shots. Isabel Harvey '28 put two headers on target, but they were saved by Ephs goalkeeper Margaret Huelin. Evie McCreery '26 had a shot ricochet off the left post.
Notes
- Team statistics were mostly even with the Ephs holding an 11-10 edge in shots and a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.
- Nieve Tonna '26 made three saves for Hamilton and Huelin had four in her shutout.
- Williams received votes in the United Soccer Coaches Division III Top 25 preseason poll.
