Women's tennis takes loss against Williams, Qian '27 prevails in singles

Sophomore recorded her sixth win this season and 18th of her career with the Continentals

CLINTON, N.Y. – Williams College took five singles matches in straight sets and the Ephs defeated the Hamilton College Continentals 6-1 in NESCAC action at Hamilton's Tietje Family Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon, April 20.
 

Season Update

  • The 52nd-ranked Continentals (6-9, 2-7 NESCAC) dropped their fourth straight match.
  • Nationally ranked No. 19 Williams (7-7, 3-5) won for the third time in its last four matches.
 

How It Happened

  • The Ephs collected the doubles team point, but Hamilton extended them to a tiebreaker in two of the three matches.
  • Grace Qian '27 defeated Jane Ladaga in straight sets at No. 5 singles for the Continentals' team point.
 

Notes

  • Qian won for the sixth time this season and 18th time in her Hamilton career.
